Lynda Carter

 Carter was born in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Juanita (nee Cordova) and Colby Carter.Her father is of English and Scots-Irish descent and her mother who is from Mexico she is of Mexican, Spanish, and French descent. She is the daughter of Vincent, a brother, and Pamela and Pamela, who are sisters. Carter was just 5 years old when she made her TV debut on the Lew Kings Talent Show. In high school, Carter joined a group known as Just Us. The band used a marimba, conga drums an acoustic and stand-up basses. One member of the group also played guitar. Lynda started singing in a pizza place at the age of 15. When she was 16, Lynda was a member of two cousins in forming another group, The Relatives. Actor Gary Burghoff was the drummer for the band. The band debuted in Las Vegas at the Sahara Hotel & Casino Lounge. Carter was 21 years old when she first entered the kitchen. After being named "Most talented" in the school, Carter decided to leave school to pursue the career of a musician. Carter auditioned in 1970 and was on the tour of The Garfin Gathering's bandleader Howard (Speedy), Garfin. Their first concert together was held at Holiday Inn Chinatown, a San Francisco hotel that had no sidewalk access. They played mostly to hotel guests and hotel staff, who parked their vehicles underground. The Garfin Gathering performed shows throughout the Nevada "Silver Circuit" which included in a number casinos in Nevada. Carter was forced to leave the Garfin Gathering for acting, after which she returned to Arizona in 1972.
