[1] She is most well-known for her role as Kate Capshaw, an American actress who has retired. Her most well-known role is her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub singer and performer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), produced by her future husband Steven Spielberg. She was in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895) and The Love Letter (1999) In the years since, she has continued become a household name. Her portraiture work has been displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a travel agent and beautician, and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee of the airline. [4] She was five years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw was a graduate of the University of Missouri with a qualification as an educator. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She was the special education instructor at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
