Lisa Edelstein is an American actress who is best known for her roles on House. Fox medical series, House. Born in Wayne in conservative Jewish traditions, she moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study theatre at Tisch school of arts. She became very involved with the club scene in New York City, and was able to get heard in the press. At the same time, she was becoming more aware of AIDS and its devastating impacts. She then used her background and fame, and her own education to write and host a television show titled Positive Me. In the following months, she got the job of MTV, hosting Awake on the Wild Side. She began to appear in film and television shows after the show ended. In the beginning, she appeared in smaller roles.
