Since her early years, Sarkeesian was fascinated by the issue of gender identity and feminist thinking. When she was still in school, in 2009 she started her Feminist Frequency Website. As of 2009, this ebullient young woman was slammed online for launching a website series on gender in videogames. The woman was not stopped by the assault, in fact it only reinforced her drive to become feminist and media critic.
