Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England at age 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. As the first foreign student to hold the position of president in the prestigious debate club The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took on the role. Being a conservative syndicated blog, after graduating she went on to become a voice of the Huffington Post. Her popularity allowed her to persuade a number of famous people to share their opinions about current affairs, as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 after she decided to contest as an independent candidate during the California recall election in order to succeed the then governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of a Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient automobiles. She was named one of the Most Influential Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, and was awarded 12th position on the list. That same year Guardian listed her among the Top 100 Media List. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the head of AOL's media group. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as a journalist. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. From her early years, she showed leadership abilities that remain highly respected. When she moved to England, she was 16 to continue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. As a student she was a member of the Cambridge Union's colleges debating societies, and eventually was its first foreign female president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master in Economics. Following after graduation she became a journalist and TV host. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
